“I am delighted that we are now accepting cryptocurrency donations. This funding mechanism will allow us to widen our donor base and reach a new generation of supporters.
“At Corazón Latino, we believe that being at the vanguard of new tools and technologies is vital to our future. As a result, we have opened the doors to a broader swath of philanthropists and ways of giving allowing us to continue growing and evolving over time.
“Embracing emergent technologies and accepting cryptocurrency will be part of our long term strategy allowing us to be more inclusive, creative, and innovative as we grow and adapt to our changing world.
“With the help and support of our Corazón Latino family and our donor network, we’ve successfully created diverse environmental projects and dynamic education and outreach campaigns. We have provided rapid response mobilizations to support communities in times of need.
“Our next endeavor will be to roll out Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) that spotlight the environment around us. In particular, CL will be unveiling a series of wildlife NFTs featuring Puerto Rico’s most beloved creatures. We hope that each virtual asset reflects and embodies our appreciation for madre tierra.
“Our organization is committed to reconnecting communities with nature in every way provided to us. Our first NFTs will prioritize our connection with Puerto Rico in homage to what the island nation represents to the world but also in recognition of Puerto Rico quickly becoming a crypto hub.”
