We can not stay silent against attacks on the Black community and continue to perpetuate racism and anti-blackness. It is a moment of reflection and accountability for us to undo the work of anti-blackness in ourselves and in our communities.

Providing access to nature and public spaces is crucial to our mission. When members of the Black community are subject to acts of violence and unwarranted suspicion while bird watching, jogging, or simply being outside, it highlights the massive amount of work that still needs to be done.
