Washington, DC — Corazón Latino, Teatro del Corazón, Capital Nature, and Descubre El Bosque invite you to an Earth Day celebration at the iconic Iwo Jima Memorial (US Marine Corps War Memorial). This unique event, scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2024, will blend the beauty of music with the engaging hands-on experience of citizen science as a way to honor our planet.

International Guitarist Michael Bard: Fresh off a successful debut at Carnegie Hall, Michael Bard will serenade participants with his acoustic guitar. Bard, known for his unique blend of classical and contemporary styles, will create a musical backdrop for the celebration.
City Nature Challenge and Citizen Science Bioblitz: In a collaboration to foster environmental awareness and community involvement, participants are encouraged to join in the City Nature Challenge. This global effort aims to document nature in urban areas. Bring your smartphone with the iNaturalist app to join in a citizen science bioblitz, capturing the biodiversity of our local environment.
