El Reto: Descubre Piney Branch, identifica la Naturaleza en el Parque
Ven y únete con Corazón Latino y Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, este domingo 28 de abril, y Descubre Piney Branch con tu familia y ayúdanos a contar y clasificar la naturaleza en este parque. Únete la competencia amistosa internacional para encontrar y registrar el mayor número de plantas y animales de tu región.
¡La ciencia se aprende mejor cuando la vives! El sendero Piney Branch es una caminata fácil, pero no es accesible para silla de ruedas.
¿Qué debes traer?
Tu celular o tablet con la aplicación “iNaturalist” instalada
Una botella reutilizable con agua para beber
Snacks
Protección solar
Muchas ganas de aprender y divertirte
¿Dónde nos encontraremos?
En el sendero de Piney Branch en la calle Mt. Pleasant NW cerca de Bancroft Elementary.
¿A qué hora debes llegar?
2:15 p.m.
Tendremos premios, actividades para los niños, comida, y mucha diversión.
¡Además, si tu hijo o hija cursan el 4 grado, les daremos un pase familiar de un año para visitar cientos de parques y tierras públicas GRATIS!

The Challenge: Discover the Forest, Identify Nature in the Park
Come join Corazón Latino and the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History on April 28 to discover Piney Branch trail with your friends and family. Join the friendly international competition - the City Nature Challenge - to identify the most animals and plants in your area.
Discover and learn through hands-on experience! Piney Branch trail is an easy walk through the forest, but is not wheelchair accessible.
What should you bring?
Your cell phone or tablet with the app, iNaturalist installed
Re-useable water bottle
Snacks
Sunscreen
A great attitude to learn and discover
Where will we meet?
We will meet at the end of Mt. Pleasant Street SW, next to Bancroft Elementary School. From here it’s easy to access Piney Branch trail.
What time should I arrive?
2:15 p.m
We’ll have prizes, kids activities, food and lots of fun!
All 4th graders will receive a free access pass for one year to visit hundreds of parks, lands, and waters for an entire year with the entire family!
