Washington, D.C. – Felipe Benitez, Executive Director and Founder of Corazón Latino, a non-profit organization committed to fostering community-driven environmental stewardship, expressed support for the Biden Administration's Executive Order on Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence.

Benitez commended the Administration's comprehensive approach, especially the emphasis on safeguarding privacy and advancing equity and civil rights, stating, "In the same way we advocate for the protection and stewardship of our planet, we must advocate for the responsible use of AI, ensuring it doesn't exacerbate existing disparities or compromise our collective well-being."

He highlighted the potential for AI to address environmental challenges and to involve frontline communities in decision-making processes. "AI can be a powerful ally in our fight against climate change and in our efforts to preserve the beauty and health of our natural spaces," he added.
