As part of a partnership between the Descubre El Bosque / Discover the Forest campaign and Paramount Pictures, we co-hosted along with our partners at the Ad Council, and the USDA Forest Service free community screenings of the movie Dora and the Lost City of Gold in Washington, D.C., San Juan, Puerto Rico, and El Paso, Texas.
These activities were also possible through the assistance of our on-the-ground partners including Fundación Amigos del Yunque and Hispanic Women's Network of Texas El Paso Chapter.
The effort also included public service announcements which highlight the adventures that one can find in a forest and direct audiences to DiscoverTheForest.org and DescubreElBosque.org to find a nearby forest or park. The PSAs feature characters from the film, a live-action adaptation of the iconic animated series Dora the Explorer, including Dora, her friends, and her family.
