On September 18, Hurricane Fiona made landfall in the archipelago of Puerto Rico. Initial reports indicate that there are island wide electricity blackouts and heavy flooding in the southwestern region of the main island.

Puerto Rico’s infrastructure is still recuperating from the damages of Hurricane María 5 years ago, so we anticipate widespread relief needs throughout the island.

Corazón Latino has an experienced team in San Juan, and in the northeastern part of the island that, when it’s safe, will assess the damage and the urgent needs of vulnerable populations.

Our disaster relief fund will channel 100% of the contributions (minus credit card fees and charges) to those communities that need it the most. We don’t take any overhead or administration fees. Your support will go directly to those who need it through our on the ground partners
