Saturday, Sept 7 is Wildlife Migration Day and the International Forest Bathing Day. Let’s celebrate by enjoying the outdoors!
About Wildlife Migration Day: Experience the phenomenon of migration at the Smithsonian's National Zoo’s Wildlife Migration Day on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free event features fun, hands-on activities for kids of all ages, as well as live music, bird banding demonstrations and opportunities to talk to scientists who study wildlife migration. Learn about the animals that make incredible journeys and some of the challenges they face along the way.
About International Forest Bathing Day: Join people around the world on 7 September, 2019 to enjoy a forest bathing walk led by ANFT Certified Forest Therapy Guides or ANFT Forest Therapy Guides-in-Practicum. Celebrate your connection to nature and all sentient beings while you increase your well being as you bathe in the atmosphere of the forest. Allow stress to wash away with every breath and invite your senses to open as you feel your feet connect with the supporting earth below.
